I would like to Salute Our hero SSG. Harvest. He has been deployed to Iraq 3 times. 5 total deployments. Our son was born during this last deployment to Iraq. He was 4 months old when they met. I am honored to be his wife. He fights for our wonderful country and our family. Not everyone gets to marry their hero, but I did. I stand tall by my husband for I am a proud Army Wife. As long as he's willing to walk the walk. I will be with him hand in hand. It's not always easy, but I wouldn't have it any other way! Thanks for allowing me the time to share our Hero with you.

My husband PV2 Joshua Bohling is my hero because he continued to honor his obligation to serve our country after the death of his brother Sgt Matthew Bohling in Ramadi, Iraq on 9-5-05. My husband had the option of leaving the Army but stayed in because his desire to our freedom and security was so great. We are currently stationed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska and my husband is a 63 bravo all wheel vehicle mechanic. The photo I submitted is of us at his brother's memorial at Ft. Benning, Georgia.

He is based in Chicago IL. He is one of eight and we have not seen him in four years. Him mom 71 and dad 74th would just like to see a smile!

He has survived the Gulf war and now. We like to see him soon. It would be nice to hear from him to see how he is coping in the heat!

This is our Salute to OUR hero, 1SG Sam Hower, serving his 2nd tour to Iraq, currently with the 139th Field Artillery, part of the Indiana National Guard. Sam & I have been married 16 years, we have 2 sons, our youngest serving in Iraq as I write this, both having served tours in Iraq, and 2 daughters. He is a wonderful example of what each of us should strive to be. He has always put others needs before his own, whether his troops, his co-workers, his friends or family. He gives everything in him 24/7. He is a caring hands on son, a shinning example of what all husbands should strive to be, an exceptional hands on father, step father and grandpa. He is and has always been PROUD to serve his country and we are proud to be his family!!
