My name is Myka Miller and I am saluting my husband Adam. He is a SGT in the US Marine Corps.

My husband has been deployed twice in our 3 years of marriage. One to Iraq while I was pregnant and once to Japan and he just came home in July, he is getting ready to leave again in July or August.

We have two year old that just adores her daddy. Adam works on Harrier jets or as my daughter would say "Daddy Airplane!" We love him so much and we are going to miss him terribly. I also want to salute the rest of the VMA 513 Night Mares of MCAS Yuma, AZ for their dedication and hard work. I love youAdam. OORAH and SEMPER FI!!!

My husband CW2 James E. Gainey is currently in Iraq. He has been there for 14 months. Hopefully he will be home the first week in February 2009. We have a total of four kids and a college student. Lol, I just want to let my husband know that we all love him and miss him so much.

We are so excited waiting for the day for the man of our lives to come home safely to us.

We have missed so many holidays together. When he left for Iraq he was 34 and now that he is returning he is 36. He got promoted to CW2 while deployed.

We luv you!! Your loving and devoted wife.

Salute to a son and fellow soldier

Posted: 09:41 AM ET

ALT TEXT

A salute to my son and fellow soldier, Cisco Johnson, Jr. He joined the US Army right after high school graduating from basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, in October 2008. He was his platoon's student leader the majority of the cycle and then from his Advanced Individual Training as a Signal Corp Soldier on 15 December 2008.

He is currently participating in the Hometown Recruiter Program in Augusta, GA assisting the recruiting team in talking to high schools about the benefits of joining the Army. He will depart for his first assignment at Fort Hood, TX on 22 January 2009.

He is a wonderful son and always brings a smile to those he meet with his playful charm and witty personality. He made my raising him as a single father for 15 years very enjoyable and I am forever proud of him.

Thank you, Cisco L. Johnson (the Father) and Master Sergeant in the US Army
