A Salute that leaves a lasting impact

Posted: 10:44 AM ET

In today's Salute to Troops, you can hear the pain in a wife's voice as she talks about how 20 days away from her husband feels like a year.

My name is Tara and this is for my husband SFC Jerry Moore, he is on his third tour in Iraq and I just want him to know how much I love him and miss him.

I know he’s only been gone for 20 days which seems like a year but we'll get through this like we always do. You never leave my thoughts and you're always in my heart. I'm very proud of you.

He takes so much pride in what he does and he's just a terrific person and an out of this world husband. He's my everything.

I Love You Sweetness, Please be Careful.
