Staff Sargeant Dustin Clark proposed to Rachelle in the airport while on leave last May.

My name is Rachelle Lusardi and I am saluting Staff Sargeant Dustin Clark.

Dustin is serving in Iraq until October. I would like to tell him that I am very proud of him and consider myself the luckiest girl in the world to be his fiance.

His children love him and miss him very much and can't wait for their daddy to come home. I cannot wait for him to come home so that I can marry him and start our lives together.

Dustin proposed to me at the airport when he came home on leave from Iraq this May. We are getting married in November, a month after he gets back.

I just want to tell him we love him and I can't wait to be his wife.

Regarding the troops finally coming home. I have just one word to say....ALLELUJIA! It's time that Iraq learns to stand on their own. They are not our problem, and I still don't understand why they became our problem in the first place. So many of our guys lost their lives and limbs for absolutley nothing. We are still paying high prices for gas, food and basic nescities. Our country is not almost backrupt because we blew billions on a complete waste of time. Imagine if the Bush adminstration would have invested that money back into our country???!!! We certainly would not be having the problems in our ecomony we are having now! We are supposed to be the richest country in the world! However, people are loosing their homes, cars, and jobs and what kind of thanks did we get from the Iraqi people? Nada, zilch. How pathetic.

Words do not begin to describe the appreciation I have in my heart for those in the military and the families that are submitted to the daily feelings of emptiness and heart break of their family members not with them. I sleep every night while you are on the line defending your oath and our country. I do feel that our nation was founded on faith and our military members are the angels God has sent to watch over and protect us. I pray daily for you and your families and want to say God bless you and from the bottom of my heart- thank you and Happy Independence Day!
