Today I am thankful for my Veteran, my husband. He spends endless hours dedicated to this wonderful country we call home. He is my hero. He is the most honorable, dedicated, upstanding, courageous, caring, loving, strong, and God fearing man I know. I love you Terry. Happy Veteran's day to you and to all the other Veterans. Thank you for serving our country and making it a safe place to be. Today I honor you Sgt. Terry LaMaack.

On Veteran’s Day we honor Soldiers who protect our nation.
For their service as our warriors, They deserve our admiration.

Some of them were drafted; Some were volunteers;
For some it was just yesterday For some it’s been years

In the jungle or the desert, On land or on the sea,
They did whatever was assigned To ensure that we stay free.

Some came back some didn’t. They defended us everywhere.
Some saw combat; some rode a desk; All of them did their share.

No matter what the duty, For low pay and little glory,
These soldiers gave up normal lives, To defend this counties story.

We owe so much to those who’ve served Don’t let politics get in the way.
Without them, freedom would have died; What they did, we can’t repay.

We owe so much to them, Who kept us safe and free,
So give thanks and shake the hand, of every Soldier or Veteran you see.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE SERVED

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
If you can read this message thank a teacher,
If you are reading it in English of your own free will THANK A SOLDIER!
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given u...s the freedom to demonstrate.... Read More
It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves under the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
who allows the protester to burn the flag.
To all the brave men and women who have dedicated or given their lives
to protecting this country and it's freedoms:
Thank you.

On this Veterans Day 2009, I would like to say thanks to my dad, John Hoechlin (heck-lyn). He served in the Marine Corps in Korea. He, at 79, is still very active in the Marine Corps League. He plays a big part in Toys for Tots every year and organizes the Marine Corps League Ball, among other things. He is a proud man and a proud Marine. I love him dearly and he is my hero. Thanks Dad, Love Karin
