Charlie Wilson's Salute to the Ladies

Posted: 03:15 PM ET

This salute is from singer Charlie Wilson who we caught up with at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.

You may know Charlie Wilson from "The Gap Band," probably best known for their song “You Dropped A Bomb On Me” (baby).

In this smooth salute to the Ladies of the armed forces, he incorporates his song “Charlie, Last Name Wilson." Enjoy.

I just want to thank all of our men and women in the US Military & their families for their sacrifice and dedication with keeping all of us (American Citizens) safe. God Bless you all and please return home safely.

God Bless America and keep our military safe here and abroad. America, keep praying for those in harms way and that they will return home soon.
