Colonel Theresa Giorlando, Commander and Chief Master Sergeant Bryce Maxson of the 689th Combat Communications Wing, Robins Air Force Base, GA., would like to (along with their entire unit) send a salute to Senior Airman Daniel Baca who is currently deployed at Bahrain. He is their youngest deployed troop and one of 200 troops who are currently deployed from that unit.

This is a salute from Jamie Thomas to her son Petty Officer First Class Michael Thomas, U.S. Coast Guard.

Jamie says, "Michael is currently stationed in Ft. Pierce Florida. He is a Federal Law Enforcement Officer. His position involves search & rescue when an emergency situation arises in the ocean. He joined the USCG during his senior year in high school in the delayed entry program and left for boot camp three weeks after graduation. He has recently re-enlisted and looks like this will be a career not just a 4 or 6 year deal for Michael. He absolutely loves what he does. My big joke about Michael is that I don't who is more proud of him.....me or him? HA!

One of the BIGGEST words I left out of my message to Michael is "RESPECT." I so respect him and what he is doing.

When I told Michael about what I was going to do (Salute to Troops on Morning Express with Robin Meade) he could not believe it. I now know that Robin has a huge following with the Coast Guard. Her show plays on the ships and Galley's every morning and they love her. Bottom line, when I said her name he just kept saying Robin Meade? Robin Meade? over and over again."
