She has being serving in the military for over 8 years and she is a Major serving for the U.S Army. I love you so much and can't wait for you to come home. I love you my pretty cousin.

Salute to Spc. Chance Harvey, U.S. Army

Posted: 08:07 AM ET

This is a salute from Callie Harvey to her husband Specialist Chance Harvey, U.S. Army.

Callie writes:
My husband, Specialist Harvey, is my hero. We got married six months ago, after he proposed to me when I visited him in South Korea. He is now home safe and we are stationed at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA. Being an Army Wife isn't the easiest job, but we get through it together and are better for it. I just wanted to let him know how proud I am of him for all that he does.

To all of our soldiers, thank you so much for your service and stay safe. And of course to all of the military families out there... Stay strong!

Deployed U.S. Army soldiers salute family and community

Posted: 10:33 AM ET

This is a salute from the 1st Battalion 52nd Aviation Regiment, U.S. Army.

Chief Warrant Officer Joey Ybarra writes:
My platoon and I are out of Ft. Wainwright Alaska and are currently deployed to Afghanistan. We would like to return a salute back to our community and especially our loved ones back home. They are a big part of why we can do what we do. Every soldier here is committed to their duty and are aware of the sacrifices that come with it. Our families are not obligated to these same sacrifices yet they stand by our side with all the love and patience any one person could ever ask for. Knowing we have the support back home from our families makes it easier to accomplish our mission over here. No words can express our gratitude, appreciation and love we have for you. Thank you for being there for us.
