Salute to U.S. Army Specialist Benjamin Stringer

Posted: 02:33 PM ET

This is a salute from Jackie Stringer to her son Specialist Benjamin Stringer.

Jackie writes:
I'd like to salute my son, Spec. Benjamin Cole Stringer. He is in the Army currently deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan for 1 year. I am so proud of his dedication to his family and his country.

The highlight of his deployment is to see his daughter via Skype. She LOVES kissing her Daddy... but can't understand why he won't catch her blue ball when she throws it to him [on the screen]!

He is an awesome son, father, and brother. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share this with you and your viewers.

Cole, your brothers Lee, Jon, & Glenn and your sister Mary Catherine all miss you. Herman Lee and I miss you too. Stay safe and hurry home.
I LOVE YOU,
MOM

Salute to Sgt. David Page, U.S. Army

Posted: 12:21 PM ET

This salute is from Kassy Page to her husband Sergeant David Page, U.S. Army.

Kassy writes:
I would like to thank my loving husband for the sacrifices he has made for this great nation. With an M-4 in one hand and our 6 day old boy in the other he was called to deploy and didn’t complain, knowing he has a duty to serve. I wish he could be here to see our little boy grow but I know he is making a difference. I am a proud Army wife and don’t tell him enough how proud I am of him. He is an outstanding solider and husband. He has served 3 tours and I wanted to thank him and all other service members who serve and have served.

Salute to Sgt. 1st Class Jesus Cantu, U.S. Army

Posted: 11:54 AM ET

This is a salute from Maria Cantu to her husband Sergeant First Class Jesus Cantu, U.S. Army.

Sergeant First Class Jesus Cantu Jr. loves to watch Morning Express with Robin Meade on HLN while working out... when he is home. He is currently serving in Afghanistan, and I just wanted to tell him that we are proud of him, and that he is loved by his whole family. We are a dual military couple, so as you can imagine, life hasn't been easy. In December, before his deployment, he lost his sister, whom he was close to but through everything he's remained strong and I truly have to say I admire his strength. He is generous, and loving... with the most beautiful soul you'll ever meet. He is a fantastic father, son, and of course husband. I couldn't ask for a better partner in life.

So my salute goes out to you my Dearest Love... from your loving wife Maria Cantu (also Sergeant First Class), your loving kids, Chris, David and Ava!

This is my son. He is stationed at Fort Hood in Texas. Pictured with him is his wife Deborah Ferguson. Kenneth has made 3 tours to Iraq and is preparing for a 4th tour. I want to salute my son because he is my hero and I want him to know that. I am extremely grateful that my son has returned safely but am aware that there are so many families that have lost their loved ones. Please let the world know what a hero my son Sgt. Kenneth A Ferguson is even if he doesn’t think that he is.
