A salute to my son and fellow soldier, Cisco Johnson, Jr. He joined the US Army right after high school graduating from basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, in October 2008. He was his platoon's student leader the majority of the cycle and then from his Advanced Individual Training as a Signal Corp Soldier on 15 December 2008. He is currently participating in the Hometown Recruiter Program in Augusta, GA assisting the recruiting team in talking to high schools about the benefits of joining the Army. He will depart for his first assignment at Fort Hood, TX on 22 January 2009. He is a wonderful son and always brings a smile to those he meet with his playful charm and witty personality. He made my raising him as a single father for 15 years very enjoyable and I am forever proud of him. Thank you, Cisco L. Johnson (the Father) and Master Sergeant in the US Army Filed under: Uncategorized September 3, 2008 A salute from a girlfriendPosted: 12:50 PM ET
